Tech Spirit Barcelona, the event that calls up for the startup ecosystem, is back

La Llotja de Mar becomes the main stage of the second edition of Tech Spirit Barcelona -which takes place on Monday 22nd and Tuesday 23rd-, an event that is expected to exceed 5.000 attendees.

ACCIÓ organizes more than 500 meetings between startups and investors, in addition to the Catalan Pitch Competition, a tournament in which the public will vote live for the best Catalan Startup of the year.
Tech Spirit Barcelona returns to mobilize the city’s technology and startup ecosystem and to become the benchmark event for the local and innovative community with a global vision and ambition. The event, which is organized by Tech Barcelona, will take place on the 22nd and 23rd of November in La Llotja de Mar of Barcelona.
After the success of the past edition, Tech Barcelona, the independent and non-profit association that supports the ecosystem of Barcelona, leads the organization of this second edition, which is backed by Acció (the Catalan agency for the competitiveness of the company of the Department of Labor and Enterprise), Ajuntament de Barcelona-Barcelona Activa, Caixabank, Adevinta, Bioca-Eatris+, Consorci Zona Franca, Dentsu, Department of Digital Politics, dwf-RCD, LLYC, The Knot Worldwide and Wayra, & la Cambra de Comerç de Barcelona as a host.
The event -whose access is free upon registration- will be attended by renowned national and international entrepreneurs and corporations that have made their commitment to Barcelona, as well as investment funds, which highlight the moment of dynamism that the ecosystem is living.
Tech Spirit Barcelona will begin on Monday 22nd with an institutional opening headed by the Business and Labor Counselor, Roger Torrent; the first deputy mayor of Barcelona, Jaume Collboni, the president of Cambra de Barcelona, Mònica Roca i Aparici; Miguel Vicente, chairman of Tech Barcelona; Miquel Martí, CEO of Tech Barcelona, and other representatives of different corporations and institutions that support the event.
There will be more than 140 speakers that will take part in 70 conferences and round tables that will take place in two different stages -CaixaBank & Adevinta- located in La Llotja de Mar simultaneously.
Highlighted speakers
Among the speakers, we will find two of the most recent successful cases of the ecosystem: Wallbox and Factorial; the recently landed Porsche and Microsoft, as well as a group of relevant successful international entrepreneurs who will explain the reason why they have decided to establish themselves and start a new business in Barcelona.
On the one hand, we will have the opportunity to know how Adevinta and The Knot WoldWide -two global corporations- are managed from Barcelona, and the reason why Pepsico, Nestlé and Novartis have decided to establish their digital hubs in the city.
On the other hand, we will connect with Silicon Valley, from where Xavier Amatriain will talk about artificial intelligence and Netflix to health; and Anna N. Schlegel will discuss how to grow and lead in a global corporation.
Along these two days, it will also be discussed about health tech, talent attraction and retention, fintech, IPOs, creativity and branding, mobility, corporate venturing and new startups, among others. Click here to take a look at the agenda.
On Monday, ACCIÓ has also organized 500 meetings planned in advance between the Catalan startups that will attend the event and 50 of the most representative investors of Catalonia in order to help those companies that are searching for financing.
In the framework of the Tech Spirit, on the 23rd it will also take place the Catalan Pitch Competition, a tournament laid out by ACCIÓ in which 24 emerging companies will participate. It will end with the delivery of the award to the Catalan startup of the year. The public will vote live for the best emerging company of 2021 based on the pitches that the Catalan startups will make in areas such as business model, technology or equipment.

Following the current security protocols, in order to access the enclosure it will be necessary to present a QR that confirms the COVID-19 passport or a document certifying a negative test approved by the Generalitat de Catalunya.
