Tech Barcelona and Kuwait collaborate to promote technological innovation

Barcelona, October 1, 2024. – Tech Barcelona has signed a collaboration agreement with the Artificial Intelligence Association of Kuwait (AAIOT), represented by its president, H.H. Sheikh Mohammad Al Sabah, a member of the Kuwaiti royal family. The agreement aims to foster collaboration on technological innovation projects, with a particular focus on artificial intelligence, and create new business opportunities at an international level.

Kuwait is emerging as a relevant player in the tech sector, thanks to its Vision 2035 program, which seeks to diversify the economy and promote digital transformation. The country has made significant investments in technological infrastructure and has nurtured a startup ecosystem supported by a new generation of STEM-trained professionals. Its strategic location in the Gulf and international partnerships position Kuwait as a leading tech hub in the region.

H.H. Sheikh Mohammad Al Sabah, president of AAIOT, stated, “This agreement presents an exceptional opportunity to exchange knowledge and resources, driving the development of artificial intelligence in both regions.”

Miguel Vicente, president of Tech Barcelona, highlighted that “this collaboration positions Tech Barcelona as a key player in global digital transformation, allowing us to expand our networks and strengthen the presence of our members and partners in international markets.”

Tech Barcelona is the largest tech association in Southern Europe, representing over 1,400 members and 90 partner organizations, leading in their sectors.
