Innovators worldwide are invited to apply for the 2026 QBE AcceliCITY Resilience Challenge — now in its eighth year supporting solutions that strengthen resilient and sustainable communities.
Many participants come in focused on their existing markets and leave having unlocked a new one: the public sector. This program is designed to open that door — whether or not cities are already on your roadmap.
Selected startups will have the opportunity to compete for a share of a $175,000 non-dilutive prize pool, while gaining access to pilot opportunities, six months of mentorship from global experts, and connections to cities and partners across the Leading Cities network.
Participants also take part in a weekly, certified virtual curriculum designed to help entrepreneurs navigate city governments, identify funding pathways, and build successful public-sector partnerships — led by city leaders, industry practitioners, and founders who have done it themselves.
The program is fully virtual and open to innovators worldwide. Applications close April 30, 2026.

India–Spain Seminar: “AI and Engineering Driving Responsible Innovation”
Por Casa Asia & HCL Tech
As artificial intelligence becomes a decisive force in modern engineering, organizations are increasingly facing the challenge of balancing innovation, scalability, and responsibility. AI is not only transforming engineering processes—enhancing efficiency, quality, and speed—but is also shaping broader social, ethical, and regulatory landscapes. The objectives of the event are:
- Highlight the importance of responsible AI in building trust and long-term value
- Explore the role of public policy, regulation, and cross-sector collaboration within the India–Spain technology partnership
- Share business perspectives on aligning innovation with social impact
- Analyze how AI is redefining engineering excellence across sectors
