Low vision is a condition in which vision is permanently limited and cannot be improved by regular glasses or surgery. Patients surveys show that the more handicapping issues are related to mobility. Mobility limitations have professional, social and psychological impact: problems getting a job, inability to build relationships outside the closest family circle, dependence in addressing recreational activities, isolation and depression. We are a team of experts in optics, medicine and technology that joined with the aim of optimize the quality of life of people with visual impairment through assistive technologies. We combine 3D, IA and mixed reality to create smart glasses to improve their mobility and lead them to a more autonomous life.
