Barcelona, December 2nd 2024. Manglar, an ecosystem that brings together startups, SMEs, freelancers and remote workers, has signed a collaboration agreement with the Tech Barcelona association to enhance opportunities for growth and connection of entrepreneurs. This alliance facilitates access to services, activities and resources for both communities.

Located in the Gracia neighborhood and with 1,500 square meters, the Manglar space will become part of the Urban Tech Campus, which includes Pier01, Pier03, Pier07 and other spaces that bring innovation to the center of Barcelona. The Manglar space is the first solidarity coworking in the state, allocating part of the profits to social projects and placing special emphasis on sustainability. In addition to coworking, Manglar offers consulting and financial management services for startups, SMEs and foundations.

Mauricio Alkain and Xavi Parcerisas, co-founders of Manglar, point out that “the alliance between Manglar and Tech Barcelona opens the door to a new community of entrepreneurs and forward-thinking companies, while contributing to a more decentralized and prosperous city. We are proud to be part of the Urban Tech Campus and contribute to an ecosystem of proximity with quality standards that until now were only accessible to large corporations and multinationals.”

“Tech Barcelona’s support to the entrepreneurial ecosystem goes beyond our spaces,” says Miquel Martí, CEO of Tech Barcelona. “On this occasion, we joined forces with Manglar, an ecosystem with which we share values, with the aim of promoting the different communities of entrepreneurs in the city, fostering the exchange of ideas and promoting the growth of the whole”.

Currently, Tech Barcelona is the largest independent non-profit association in Southern Europe, representing more than 1,400 members and 90 partners. Tech Barcelona’s ecosystem model is deployed with the Urban Tech Campus project: a network of unique buildings connected because innovation and technology are integrated into the city, involving and coexisting with its citizens.
